In episode #6 of the Social Hero, I speak with Amalina, the YSEALI Coordinator at the US Embassy KL, on her journey to empower young leaders in Malaysia through exchange programs and workshops.

Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is a US government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. It consists of several programs including YSEALI Academic Fellowship, YSEALI Professional Fellowship, and YSEALI Regional Workshops.

To date, YSEALI has sent more than 2000 young leaders in Malaysia to the US for its exchange programs and have impacted thousands of students through its regional workshops.

Amalina has been selected for the prestigious Obama Foundation Leaders based on her impressive work in youth empowerment.
